Content Management System
Web based application used to manage the content (text and photos of your website.
CSS Cascading Style Sheet A programming language used to control the colors, style and layout of the website.
Hypertext Markup Language
The programming language used to build the structure of the site.
Search Engine Optimization
Techniques that help your website rank higher in search results, making your website more visible to people who are looking for your brand, product, or service via search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
Internet Service Provider
The company that provides your internet connection.
Pay-per-click
An internet marketing strategy where payment is only collected when an ad is clicked on.
Call to Action
A piece of your site that encourages your viewer to do something, like submit a contact form, buy a product, etc.
Click Through Rate
Used in conjunction with Pay-per-click, this measures the success of a PPC campaign by measuring the amount of clicks an ad received against how many times it was viewed.
Google Analytics
A reporting tool used to track and report website traffic.

This usually refers to a text editor (in a CMS) that allows you to type and arrange your content exactly how it will show on your website.
